If there is one thing I could eat everyday, it would pizza. It’s one of my guilty pleasures.. But then I found this picture with mini pizzas that you could make in a muffin tin! I really wanted to try to make this, so I did and I really wanted to share how I created them. This is what you will need for these easy and delicious muffin tin pizzas a la Neeltje:
A whole wheat wrap, tomato sauce, a paprika, grated cheese, Italian seasoning (or salt/pepper) and pesto. Other things you need are a muffin tin (obviously) and a glass.
For the base of the pizza I used a whole wheat wrap. To make the wrap fit the muffin tin, I used the glass to measure the wrap and then cut around the glass to get the right size. After that I put the piece of the wrap in the muffin tin. I cut out about five pieces because this was just a snack thing for me and my family.
Now you can add whatever you want in the muffin tin. I first used some tomato sauce and after that I added the rest. I cut up a paprika and added those pieces and I also added a little bit of pesto (one of my obsessions at the moment). And then there was only one important thing left to add, which is of course the grated cheese. I added some Italian seasoning as well just to add some thing extra, but that is definitely optional.
I put them in a preheated oven (180°C) for about 15 minutes. I kind of had to guess when they would be done but they turned out great and really tasty after about 15 minutes! What’s great about these muffin tin pizzas is that you can make them however you like. If you like your pizza with mushrooms, ham and pesto, you can create that. And they are made so quick and so much healthier than frozen pizzas (which are the quickest to make).
So, what do think of my muffin tin pizzas? What ingredients would you add if you would make them? I will definitely make these more often when I don’t feel like cooking a ‘real’ meal or maybe even for a birthday as a snack!
