What?! It’s already the last day of 2014? Yes it is. Time has literally flown by and 2014 has been a fun but bumpy ride. I don’t know about you but when the year is almost over, I always start thinking about what I did this year and there are so many things, it’s just crazy! So here are some questions that I answered to reflect on my 2014!
What were the best things that happened to you this year?
This year was finally a year where I tried so many new things and I enjoyed them a lot. One of these things was that I went to my second and third concert, one from One Republic and the other from Justin Timberlake (which was amazing). I also went skiing for my birthday, bought myself an iPad mini, also saved a lot of money, stepped out of my comfort zone a lot, started reading books again, did my first collaboration with a company for my blog, went penny boarding for the first time, voted for the first time, started cooking my own meals and so much more.
I also started my blog and it all went so fast. I wanted a place where I could share all the things on my mind and in a little over eight months I have over 300 followers on Bloglovin, over 18.000 (!) views and got so many (over 1200!) nice comments on all of my blog posts. It’s unreal and I am very thankful to be a part of this crazy Internet world.
What was your favorite TV show, food, song and fashion item of 2014?
For a TV series I can’t actually pick one favorite so I will just share all the ones I’ve been watching (be prepared). Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Made in Chelsea, Gossip Girl (I’ve started to watch it again) and many more. As you can tell I am a TV series addict… And for a food favorite I also can’t decide. Something I’ve eaten a lot are wraps and home made pizza, so I guess those have to be my favorites.
About my favorite song I actually had to think a little bit until I heard it on the radio again. This song is my favorite just because it gets me excited about the future and what’s to come: One Republic – I Lived. It’s good, I promise. For a fashion item it wasn’t really hard to choose. As you may have read in my previous posts, I’ve been obsessed with my fluffy sweater and cardigan. So I don’t think I have to explain this one…
What is your New Year’s Resolution?
Well first of all: travel more. In 2014 I’ve been skiing in France and that’s it so my wanderlust kept growing and growing this year. And just between you and me, I think I am going to travel more… So watch out for some more travel & hotspots posts! And secondly I really want to focus more on school but also write some better (and maybe even more than once a week) blog posts. So I have to think about how I want to divide my time.
To memorize all of the things you did or accomplice this year you could use a diary to write it down, but this year I tried something different. Every time something good, scary or just something I wanted to remember happened, I wrote it down with a date and put in my memory jar for 2014. I saw this memory jar idea a couple of years ago and I think it’s such a creative and fun way to keep you memories. So I did a quick DIY to show you my memory jar for 2015. What you’ll need for this DIY: A jar, colored paper (of your choice), scotch tape (or a hot glue gun) and scissors.
First you have to find yourself a big enough jar for all of your up coming memories. You don’t have to buy one, you could also use a peanut butter or jam jar (recycle!). I would recommend washing them before using them… Anyways, now comes the fun part where you can decorate your jar however you like. I used some silver paper to cut out the numbers 2015 and stick them on my jar. I think it turned out really cute and it was so easy to make!
2014 has been a year full of ups and downs but I just wanted to talk about the good memories I have of this year so I can look back on this post in a year and see how much I’ve grown and what kind of things I did in 2014. I also wanted to thank you (yeah, you there) for reading my blog and always leaving such nice comments. I really appreciate it. And I would like to wish you all a very happy 2015 full with love, fun and new experiences! Now I’ve got a little question for you… What was your favorite blog post I posted on Thoughts in Style this year?
Talk to you next year! Love,
