Welcome to the first post of 2015! In my last post I talked about keeping my memories from 2014 in my memory jar but that’s not the only way I keep my memories. For my eighteenth birthday I got this very thoughtful gift where I could keep my memories as well but only in a different way. I got the Q&A A Day book and I’ve been writing in it for a year so I just wanted to tell you about it because I think everyone should get one!
What is this Q&A A Day book? Well it’s actually pretty simple. It’s this book where it asks you a different question every single day for five years. So it’s kind of like a diary you keep for five years but you don’t have to come up with something to write about every single day because it asks you a question (well it doesn’t really talk to you but yeah…).
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.

I am going to give you some examples of my favorite questions but of course I am not going to spoil them all because you’ll have to see for yourself. The questions are all very specific to a part of your day. Some will ask about problems and some are about what you ate for lunch. That’s what makes it fun. You never know what kind of question you can expect.
“Are you seeking security or adventure?” That’s a question that really depends on the moment so it’s really interesting to see what you answered each year. I think it will be different every time. “How would your parents describe you?” This could be a very easy question to answer but also a though one. “What do you always avoid?” This one actually made me laugh because I avoid a lot of things so it’s also kind of confronting.
When I first started to write in it, I never thought I would really keep up. I’ve always been the kind of person that wants to keep a diary but gives up after a week because I didn’t have anything interesting to write. But this is different because of the questions. I think it’s a very interesting way to keep your memories and to look back on previous years.
The Q&A A Day book it self is a very small and practical book. When I went on my skiing trip in 2014 I really wanted to take it with me and since it’s so small, it was very easy to take it with me. This way I wouldn’t have to miss any days and forget about things. The design of the book is also really cute. It’s very classic and vintage looking, which also makes it fun to write in.
Well, as you can tell I am very happy with my Q&A A Day book. It’s something that will keep my memory from the upcoming years. When I went looking for it on the Internet I saw they also have a college version (an idea to give to a friend that graduated high school?). Now I am curious to know… Did I convince you to also get this little book full of questions to keep your memories for five years? Or would you rather just write a little story about your day in your diary?
