“And since we’ve got no place to go, let it snow!” ⛄ This is definitely one of my favorite songs to put on in winter and during Christmas time. As you’ll be able to see in these photos, it hasn’t snowed yet in The Netherlands. The weather is very frightful at the moment (just like every year in between fall and winter). Most of the time it’s raining and very cold. When Lotte and I were taking these photos, we almost blew away because of the wind haha. But I think the photos did turn out really cute. Btw this outfit consists of some items that I will be wearing on my twentieth birthday (which is only a couple of days away)! 🎈
Velvet Top: Vero Moda € 44,95
I’ve never owned any velvet clothing items. They do look really festive and are perfect to wear for the holidays but I never found any I like. Until I found this top online. I think it looks really unique compared to other clothing items. Since it’s almost my birthday (and of course I already had think about buying an outfit for it), I had the perfect excuse to buy this top. In between the velvet fabric it has these burn out stripes, which I really like. Finally having an outfit to wear on my birthday makes me even more excited.
Woolen Coat: Vero Moda € 84,95
When it started to really feel like winter in The Netherlands, I had to have a new winter coat. Through the years I always got the same kind of coat but this year I wanted something different. When I went shopping with my mom to look for a new coat, I wanted something like the one I saw at Esprit and I found it! It’s a little longer and looks definitely more sophisticated than all of the other coats I’ve had over the years. The best thing is, it also has a really big hood on it, which is perfect when the weather gets even colder. ❄️
Pistol Booties: Graceland € 29,90 | Patterned Pants: Vero Moda € 26,95
A couple of weeks ago I was cleaning out my shoe closet. I didn’t realize how many pairs of shoes I had until then. I donated the shoes I didn’t and wouldn’t wear anymore. This way I know someone else who really needs them will wear them. After cleaning out my shoe stash, I found these booties. You might have seen them in a blog post I did last year. They remind me of the Acne pistol booties but these were a lot less expensive and also very comfortable to walk in (which is great).
Most of the time I grab a pair of jeans and throw them on with any outfit. Since this outfit is a bit more festive, I wanted to try something different. When I am bored, I go on websites and maybe even buy something. That’s kind of what happened with these pants. After I got the top, I wanted a new pair of jeans to wear with it but when I saw these patterned pants, I just had to get them. They’re so comfortable and make every outfit a bit more festive looking!
Star Necklace: Club Manhattan (a present)
Besides all of my basic jewelry pieces, like my pearl earrings, I am wearing this star necklace. Stars always represent winter and Christmas time for me (do you have the same?). That’s why this is perfect with this outfit. I’ve also worn it as a bracelet, which also looks cute. It’s kind of an early birthday / Christmas present because I got this from Suzanne Brummel (check out her blog and Instagram because she’s lovely). ⭐
This is already it for this outfit post! Shooting this outfit was very fun with Lotte and you can actually see that I cut my hair (did you notice it?). It’s way shorter now and I am in love with it! Btw after writing and reading this blog post I am getting more and more excited for my birthday and Christmas. 🎅 My favorite item definitely has to be the top because I’ve never had anything like it before and I think it’s really festive. What do you think of this outfit? Do already have an outfit for Christmas?
