Yay, by the title you can already guess that it is time for an outfit post! I have to be honest, I am pretty excited about sharing this one because I am loving the photos. The day Lotte and I took these photos, it was extreme hot outside. And as you’ll see, my outfit isn’t really hot weather prove but since summer in The Netherlands doesn’t mean that it will be hot outside, you’ll be able to wear outfits like this as well. Anyways, we took these photos in the middle of Leiden and I love the houses. Enough about the photos, let’s see this outfit!
Dark Jeans: Jacqueline de Yong € 19,95
I kind of have a love hate relationship with jeans. That’s when I am talking about the actual denim jeans. Some days I like them and other days I want to take all of them and put them far far away in the back of my closet. Is this just me? At the moment I am really into the mood to wear denim jeans so that’s what I wore in this outfit post (obviously haha). I got this pair for such a good price and they are so comfortable so let’s hope this fase of me liking denim jeans will stay for a while.
White Blouse: H&M € 19,95 | Brown Belt: The Sting € 16,95
With the denim jeans I am wearing this white blouse. I think I’ve been looking for a white blouse like this for such a long time. I’ve always wanted a cotton white flowy blouse but I was never able to find one. Ever since I got it, I’ve wanted to wear it every single day. It’s definitely a staple item for summer and I have a little tip for you: Always get a blouse like this a size or two bigger because it will look way better. And you can wear the sleeves just down but also roll them up, like I did.
With the jeans I am wearing a brown belt. A belt? What? Yes. When I was standing in front of the mirror and was looking at my outfit, I felt like something was missing. After standing there for a while, I realized and thought: “Maybe I should wear a belt?” My jeans always loosen up a lot during the day (Do you also have this problem?) so the belt would not only dress up the outfit but also be practical.
Black Floppy Hat: Asos € 28,00
Right now you might be thinking: Why is this a casual bohemian chic outfit? Well, the bohemian type items are on their way. One of those is this black floppy hat. I had this for a while now and actually worn this in one of my first outfit posts about two years (!) ago. Crazy right? Anyways, I always tent to buy floppy or fedora hats but never wear them. So I thought, okay I should definitely wear this floppy hat with this outfit.
Arm Cuff: Unknown (a gift) | Rings: NOOSA-Amsterdam € 49,95
At Coachella I’ve seen lots of people wearing jewelry pieces like this and I really like it. Then I remembered I own one of these. What am I talking about? An arm cuff. This is actually the next bohemian type item. In the photos above you can’t really tell but the arm cuff has this wavey pattern on it. It’s looks very unique and it really adds something to any outfit.
Next I am wearing two rings. These are from the Symbol collection, which means all of the items in this collection have a meaning and a story. If jewelry pieces have a meaning, it already has my attention. The two rings I am wearing both have a different meaning. The Samsara ring stands for the perfect balance your inner and outer world and the Masaï ring stands for freedom and fantasy. I love that you can wear different rings like this together and they all have a different and special meaning.
Shoes: Toms (via Omoda) € 49,95 | Canvas Bag: Thoughts in Style (a DIY)
For shoes I am wearing the shoes that I talked about in my summer essentials blog post. You should definitely read that blog post because you can’t go without the items I mentioned for summer. Anyways, I am wearing my new Toms shoes. I’ve had my crochet Toms look-a-like shoes for a while but they needed to be replaced so that’s why I got these ones. They have these beige color but a little sparkle in it, which I love.
Last but definitely not least, my canvas bag! This is very special because it has Thoughts in Style on it. My mom had this spare canvas bag and I thought I should make it into a Thoughts in Style canvas bag. And ever since I got it, people around me have been asking me if they can have one too. Maybe I should make more this summer? Because it would be fun if people would walk around with a canvas bag like this. What is your favorite item out of this post?
