Last year I posted the first essentials post on here and it got so many positive comments, that I wanted to do more of them. In total I posted about two of them I think but since fall is my favorite season of the year, I thought I should definitely make an essentials post for fall! And then a couple of weeks ago Hannah Maggs uploaded a fall lookbook and I just got so much inspiration from this beautiful lookbook that I just wanted to post this fall essentials post even earlier than planned. I kind of changed the layout of these posts so I hope you’ll enjoy it 🍁
Knitted Scarf: Handmade
I wanted to start this post with the ultimate essential so one you definitely can not go without in the fall time. Of course I am talking about knitwear. This can be so many different things. Jackets, cardigans, coats, scarfs, hats and more. Everything that has to do with knitwear is an essential. One my favorite knit things is the scarf in the photo, which my mom made. Knitting your own scarf is very easy and perfect if you don’t want to spend tons of moneys on a warm scarf.
🍂 BURGUNDY COLORED ITEMS
The next item can actually also be multiple items (like the one before). Burgundy is a color that screams fall, at least for me. I just love it because this color reminds me of the leaves changing, which is the ultimate fall feeling. Every year I buy a new burgundy colored item and this year it is this sweater. It’s such a comfy sweater and the lines give it an unique look, I think (I wish I bought it in all the colors they had but no…).

🍂 LONG COATS
You may have already seen the upcoming item in a previous outfit post but I think it is a true essential to get through fall season. I think everyone should own a long coat, like the dark blue one I am wearing. When it gets a little colder during fall, you just want to make sure every single inch of you is kept warm. When you are wearing a long coat, your legs will stay a lot warmer (trust me). The long coat I am wearing isn’t really made for winter in The Netherlands but there are so many more long coats that you are able to wear in fall and winter as well.
Star Print Dress: Boohoo € 30,00
🍂 STAR PRINTED ITEMS
When October peaks around the corner, I already start thinking about Christmas… I know, I know. It’s way too early for that but Christmas is the greatest time of the year, right? When I saw this dress, I immediately thought of Christmas but I also thought of ways I could wear it casual during fall. I have seen lots of bloggers wearing star printed blouse or shoes and I actually started loving this trend. When you pair this dress with the right items, it isn’t too Christmassy and just perfect for fall weather.
🍂 BELTED BOOTIES
The last, but definitely not least item of this post are (of course) booties. Not just any pair of booties but belted booties. When fall starts, put the floral dresses back in your closet and take out the warm, edgy looking items. Black, burgundy and grey items are perfect for fall to get a more edgy look. Just like the booties you can see in the photos below. I’ve been wearing them tons, even when the weather was more summer than fall, just so I could get a little fall feeling. If you are looking for a pair of boots for fall and winter? Definitely check these because they are so comfortable and you can still wear a pair of fuzzy sucks with them (very important).
Brown Belted Booties: Tommy Hilfiger (via Omoda) € 189,95
And then you already ended up at the end of this blog post… These are all of the things that I can’t go without this fall. This post makes me actually want to post about fall things all the time. I loved selecting the ultimate essentials for fall and actually take the photos. I hope you already got to experience a little of the ultimate fall feeling after reading this post. Btw, when you’re reading this I am still in Milan, Italy with my mom! On my Instagram I’ve posted already lots of photos from our trip so go check them out. Do you love fall as well? What is your ultimate fall essential?
