“It’s that time of year again… Christmas!” 🎅 Okay, it’s not Christmas yet but over the past couple of weeks I’ve already been bombarded with lots of gift guide videos and blog posts, especially the gift guides from Kate La Vie are so inspiring. All of this made me want to decorate my room with Christmas stuff (which you’ll see next week!) and post a gift guide on Thoughts in Style. Last year I posted my very own wish list on here but this year I wanted to do it a little different. In this post I am showing you what you can ask for yourself or buy for someone else this Christmas. It also features some of the items I have on my wish list so hopefully you get inspired!
✰ Coffee Table Books ✰
Some thing that (I think) is very fun to receive or gift to someone is a book, in particular a coffee table book. Coffee table books (like the name says) are perfect to use as decoration but besides that, these type of books are also great for inspiration. You can pick up the book whenever you want, just look through it for a little bit and read a chapter of it. The coffee table books below are the ones I recommend getting as a gift.
✰ Gadgets ✰
Coffee table books are kind of girly so on to a also manly type of gift. Whenever I have to get a gift for my dad or brother, I immediately think of getting them some type of gadget. Below I have added some links to awesome gadgets. One of them is actually on my wish list as well. All of the items below have to do with a smartphone but you can also think of something for a laptop (like a skin) or game console.
✰ Lifestyle ✰
When I think of the category lifestyle for gifts, the options are endless. This can make it easy but also very difficult to find something for somebody else or something you like. Over the past year I’ve discovered so many new brands and one of them, Wijck, is perfect for this gift guide. They sell (very inexpensive) prints of different neighborhoods, like SoHo, Le Marias and more. Besides this one, I have also listed two other lifestyle things you can ask for yourself or gift to someone.
✰ Beauty ✰
Beauty products are a girls best friends, right? Most guys find them awful but luckily beauty companies are very smart when Christmas peaks around the corner because they create gift sets. This makes it so easy for others to buy something from a certain brand. Benefit Cosmetics and The Body Shop are both perfect because they have such cute packaging. If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, just look at the products from other brands, like the two I mention underneath. Something you can do (when you’re feeling creative) is create your own beauty gift set with buying different (less expensive) beauty products and package them in a cute way.
✰ Jewelry ✰
Besides beauty stuff, you can always make a girl happy with some type of jewelry. At the moment minimalistic jewelry is really trendy and lots of different webshop and stores sell these type of jewelry pieces. I listed some of my favorite jewelry brands below. Their pieces aren’t that expensive but the quality is really good. I especially like all of their earrings and how you can create your own ear party.
And then this Christmas gift guide came to an end. I hope this gave you lots of inspiration for your own wish list and what you want to buy for others. I have to say, when everyone started posting gift guides and I say all of the vlogmas videos in my subscription box, I got so much more excited for Christmas! To get the ultimate Christmas feeling, my grandma and I already have planned to put up her Christmas tree in the next couple of days (yay!) 🎄 Anyways, did you like this gift guide? Have you already made your wish list?
