Nothing Haunts Us More Like The Things We Didn’t Buy | Latest Purchases

December has been a month full of excitement and holidays. What comes with celebrating holidays? Gifts! Besides Christmas and my birthday, I also went on a trip to Antwerp, Belgium where I may have bought some little things for myself… The last time I did a Latest Purchases post is a really long time ago and since we just had such a festive month, I thought I would share all of the lovely gifts I got from my family & friends and all of the small things I have bought for myself over the past couple of weeks. Sit back, relax and enjoy 🌸

☆ BIRTHDAY ☆

For my birthday I only had a couple of things I really asked for. I always like to be surprised, instead of getting yourself excited thinking you’ll get a specific thing and you won’t get it. Besides that, I also trust everyone that’s buying me something because they all know me very well. And I was right because for at my 21 brunch I got a couple cute things like a birthday tile, printed blanket from Hema, photo frame from H&M, cacti from Dille & Kamille, gift card from Pluk Amsterdam and compass ring from Riverstones. How awesome are my friends!

There was actually one thing I especially asked for on my birthday and that’s an Apple Magic Trackpad. Since I got the new MacBook Pro, I really wanted to make a set-up on my desk, which will make it a lot easier for me when I want to edit photos or write blog posts. And my uncle and aunt are amazing because they got it for me. At first I really had to get used to it but now I really love using it.

☆ CHRISTMAS ☆

In combination with the Apple Magic Trackpad, I also asked for some things to go with that like a laptop elevator and a new laptop cover. Santa was nice enough to bring me these as well. I don’t know why but I always get myself a present for Christmas as well. The only thing that was missing from the set-up I wanted to create was a Apple Magic Keyboard. So I spoilt myself a little bit and decided to buy that from the money I got for my birthday. A perfect gift, if I say so myself.

Besides all of these #nerdlife gadgets, I also got some other amazing things like new slippers to keep my feet warm, a side table (which you’ll see in another blog post) and a pair of earrings from Fashionology. Santa also knew that I really wanted to try hand lettering. On the internet I had seen many people using the Hand Lettering Doe Je Zo! book. To use this book, I got different size fineliners with that as well. Watch out for a lot of hand lettering stuff on here and Instagram in the next couple of weeks.

☆ ANTWERP ☆

Whenever I go on a trip somewhere, I always get some little souvenirs. For my mom and grandma I both got the same magnet from Antwerp. When I was in the souvenir shop to buy the magnets, I saw cards with different sights of Antwerp on them. Since I am kind of a card and print hoarder, I also got two of these cards. Lastly for the souvenir part, of course I got a sticker to put on my suitcase!

And while we were exploring Antwerp, we found some lovely hotspots to shop at. On our first day we went into The Shop and that’s where I finally got a new phone case. It’s this Chiara Ferragni look-a-like one, which I really like. At Jules Unlimited I got this print with a quote from The Rolling Stones on it. And then I also got this sweet heart bracelet at MME Bovary. This will go very well with the rest of my little bracelets that I have bought over the past months.

The last thing I got in Antwerp was this single NYX eyeshadow in the color Pixie. It’s a lovely champagne type of shade and I am going to wear this as an everyday eye shadow. And that’s the last thing of this latest purchases post! I am so grateful for all of the things I got for my birthday, Christmas and that I was able to go to Antwerp, Belgium with Elba. I am going to try to make more of these posts because I like reading about other people’s purchases. Do you like these type of posts as well? What was your favorite Christmas gift?

Love,

Neeltje

  2. Mooie foto’s! Ik ben ook aan het handletteren geslagen, en zo leuk: straks maak je zo’n print gewoon zelf ;-)
